Jackson Heights | Domestic Water Riser System Replacement
Built in the 1960’s, the complex at 7312 35th Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens is sizable with siz buildings, six stories each. The 192 apartments means a large amount of residents for the management to satisfy.
It is for this reason that when faced with low water pressure and leaks from the aging water risers and distribution system, the Property Managers at 7312 35th Avenue knew they needed a plumbing company with the logistical experience to tackle a project this challenging…and Prestige was selected!
The scope of the project included a complete replacement of the domestic water system. Prestige was to replace 50 cold, hot, and hot water return risers along with with all branch piping to fixtures and new RPZs and water booster pumps. Management also requested replacement of the building steam condensate piping during the upgrading of the domestic water system.
Careful planning and scheduling was paramount during the installation. The work was limited to between 8:30 and 4:30, and all fixtures were required to be returned to service by the end of each work day.
Management of the complex was pleased as Prestige was able to complete the work short of their one year requirement and were impressed with the speed and quality of Prestige’s installation. Prestige was able to complete the work within the owner required time frame and maintain the standards of excellence for which they are known.
“…they had to contract a plumbing company with the logistical experience to tackle a project this challenging.”
