We have a Prestige employee answering the phone 24/7/365 – No answering service or voicemail!
Prestige Plumbing & Heating Inc. is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
We want every visitor to be able to find the information they need about our plumbing, heating, and emergency services — whether they browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or rely on contrast and zoom settings to make text readable.
The standard we follow
Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines are the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act for commercial websites.
What we have done
As of April 2026, this website has been audited and updated to address accessibility barriers across all public pages. Improvements include:
- Full keyboard accessibility, with a visible focus indicator and a “Skip to main content” link for keyboard users
- Unique page landmarks (header, main content, footer) for assistive-technology users
- Text contrast meeting WCAG AA thresholds on primary content
- Mobile zoom enabled so text can be enlarged up to 200 percent without loss of functionality
- Heading hierarchy that reflects page structure, so screen readers can summarize and navigate a page accurately
- Descriptive labels on navigation and call-to-action links
- An on-screen accessibility toolbar (bottom-right corner) that lets any visitor increase font size, enable high contrast, underline all links, switch to a more readable font, or pause animations — with their preferences remembered between visits
Assistive technology compatibility
This site has been tested with recent versions of:
- NVDA and JAWS screen readers on Windows
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack on Android
- Keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge
Known limitations
A small number of embedded third-party services are used on this site and are maintained by their respective providers. Accessibility behavior of these embeds is outside our direct control:
- reCAPTCHA on the contact form, provided by Google
- Any embedded maps
If any of these create a barrier for you, please let us know using the contact options below — we can often offer an alternative way to reach us.
Reporting a barrier
If you encounter any content on this website that is not accessible to you, or if you have a suggestion for improvement, please get in touch through our Contact page. We will respond as promptly as we can and make reasonable accommodations.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We review changes to this site for accessibility before publishing them, and we welcome feedback from visitors that helps us improve.
